New global map data product release from Europa Technologies includes over 100,000 additional place names

Specialist manufacture of map data, Europa Technologies, has released a new version of its extensive range of digital world map products. The new release (v7.1) which includes Global Discovery, Global Insight & Global Insight Plus, is now available for immediate shipping and is available direct, or via its global reseller network.

Almost every data layer within each product has been enhanced and updated to provide clients with a more accurate and complete view of the world, from pole to pole. Existing clients upgrading to v7.1 and new clients will benefit from the following:

  • Support for Kosovo (disputed border)
  • Increase to over 820,000 named places
  • New layers: seas, gulfs, bays & Arctic/Antarctic Circles
  • Updated 1st level administrative regions
  • Support for ISO 3166-2 and FIPS 10-4 Admin1 codes
  • Increased positional accuracy for many places & airports
  • Thousands of minor updates and improvements
